A few weeks ago, we posted about an Audi S4 that came in that was running rough. Upon diagnosis we found that the timing was off. We pulled the engine out and found there were multiple broken timing chain guides, that caused the chain to loosen up, causing poor timing.
We have now retimed the vehicle with new chains and guides, and it’s almost ready to be reinstalled back in the car.
But not before we do something about this ugly oil build up… Time to shampoo.
With a little bit of elbow grease, we got this engine looking like new. It’s almost time to go back in the car, stay tuned for another update blog post.
